Waterfalls
Sri Lanka is known to have hundreds of beautiful waterfalls spread throughout the country, generally surrounded by lush greenery and inviting pools. Fed by the two monsoon seasons, these waterfalls range from the island’s tallest Bambarakanda Falls (863ft) to some that are a mere few feet tall. Tourists can get a close-up view of some of these waterfalls while others are hidden away in thick jungles and bordering emerald green tea plantations making them extremely difficult to get to. Access routes to some waterfalls can be via adventurous hikes. On top of some of these waterfalls there can be natural infinity pools with expansive views over various terrains. Visiting these waterfalls can be a thrilling addition to any Sri Lankan tour package.
